Items to be washed must be reachable with a 1-step ladder, otherwise a dusting extension will be used. We do not climb higher than a 1-step ladder. Higher items will only be dusted with an extension duster. Most homes have at least one chandelier or vaulted ceiling fan that we cannot reach by hand.

We clean both sides of double-hung windows (windows that easily open indoors). If we cannot open a window or if a screen protector blocks it, we cannot clean the outside. Windows must be accessible before the technician arrives. We clean the windows in place and do not remove any screen protectors from the window. For extensive window cleaning or hard-to-reach windows, we recommend booking a professional window cleaning company. 

Blinds are dusted and/or vacuumed in place. We do not hand-wash or remove blinds. For deep cleaning of blinds, a blind cleaning company that has an electrostatic blind cleaner or similar would be the best option.

To ensure a thorough and efficient cleaning, please remove all knick-knacks from your shelves before our visit. If you prefer to leave them in place, please note that our technicians will dust a reasonable number of items. However, if there are more than five knick-knacks in an area, we may not have enough time to dust each one. In such cases, we recommend either removing the items in advance or letting our team skip them entirely. We cannot guarantee the complete cleaning of areas that are cluttered. 

Please note that our cleaning service quote is for washing, scrubbing, dusting, and sanitizing. We provide quotes on a home that has been tidied up prior to our technicians' arrival. This means that items are put away but not cleaned. Furniture, floors, and other surfaces are clear of clutter.

If you would like us to help you with a tidy-up, an additional fee will be assessed for the extra time needed. 

We clean items in place to reduce the risk of breakage. We do not move furniture; however, if you want underneath the furniture cleaned, you may leave it moved prior to the appointment so our cleaning technicians can clean under it. We try to reach any visible places either by hand or with an extension duster.

Trash cans are to be made available and accessible on site. Our house cleaning services include removing trash from your home and re-lining the trash bins. Our technicians are not able to take the trash off-site with them.

Life Maid Easy will provide all cleaning supplies unless the client notes otherwise. Clients must provide their own:

• toilet brushes in each toilet (to prevent cross-contamination)
• trash liners
• 1-2 rolls of paper towels (to prevent cross-contamination)

If your home requires more cleaning time than expected—such as if the dirt level is heavier than described—our technicians will notify us, and we will contact you to discuss any additional costs before proceeding.
